Commissioner of Police Delta state Command CP ARI MUHAMMED ALI wins Nollywood Honour Awards 2023
The Commissioner of Police Delta State was among other notable personalities who won different Categories of awards at the just concluded Nollywood Honour Awards held at the Delta State leisure pack and film village Anwian Asaba
CP was overwhelmed receiving the prestigious award as the most active Commissioner of Police 2022/23 due to his immense resisilience in Crime fighting that brought about Peace and Harmony in Delta state since his Inception as CP. Delta
CP Ari Muhammed Ali was born on the 1st of March 1965 to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Ali. He hails from Doma LGA of Nasarawa State. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Library and Political Science from the University of Maiduguri in 1987, Master of Science in Industrial Relations from Delta State University, Abraka in 2000. He also holds a Diploma in Police Science from British home department, Police staff college Jos in 2009. The CP holds a PhD in Industrial Relations from Irish University Business School, Penbroke Square United Kingdom in 2011.
He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as cadet ASP course 16 on the 3rd of March 1990. He attended the elite Police Academy Kaduna and upon completion of training in academy, he was posted to Delta State Police Command as an Assistant Superintendent of Police in November 1991.
He has served in various capacities in the Police Force as follows; He has served as Divisional Police Officer ‘B’ Division Asaba in the year 2001. The CP was posted to Bayelsa State Command in the year 2002 where he served as the Divisional Police Officer Ekeki Division in Yenagoa and that same year posted to Lagos State Command. The CP served as the Divisional Police Officer Denton Police Station, Ebute metta in the year 2003, DPO Apapa in the year 2005, Area Commander Area ‘C’ Surulere Lagos State in the year 2011, Area Commander Area ‘B’ Apapa in the year 2012. Assistant Commissioner of Police in-charge of Operations Rivers State in the year 2014. The CP also served in Police Staff College Jos as Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of courses in the year 2016, Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge Zonal CID Zone 7 Abuja in the year 2017, Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of Administration Makurdi, Benue state. He was also the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge Operation in Lagos State Police Command where he served for 3 years and during this period crime rate was reduced to the barest minimum level in Lagos State.
He was promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police on the 18th of December 2020. He is currently the 20th Commissioner of Police Delta State Police Command.
He is a member of numerous professional bodies which includes;

ii. Member, Association of Industrial Security and Safety Operators of Nigeria (AISSON)
iii. Member International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP)
iv. Member, International Foundation for Protection Officer (IFPO)
v. Member, Chartered Security Professional (CSP)
He has the following awards and decorations to his credit:
i. Best Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Lagos State Command of the Month of September 2010
ii. Security Watch Africa Award of Excellence as best operation Officer in Africa Security which took place in Dubai in the year 2018
iii. Crime Reporters Awards as Best Crime Fighter in Nigeria in 2018
iv. Award of Excellence from Northern Youth Council of Nigeria, 2020
v. Leadership Award; School of Management and Security, Lagos
vi. Media World Award as a Distinguished ICON of Security
vii. Niger Delta student’s parliament award of excellence
viii. National association of online security news publishers award as the most outstanding Commissioner of Police of the year 2021
ix. Crime Reporters Awards as most outstanding Commissioner of Police of the year 2021
x. Won the Africa security watch conference Award of the most outstanding crime bursting Police chief in West Africa which took place in Banjul, Gambia, November 2022
xi. Nigeria Union of journalist meritorious award in the year 2022
CP Muhammed Ali is highly disciplined, no wonder he served as a member of taskforce on implementation of traffic laws in Lagos in 2011. He was also the secretary of taskforce on petroleum in Delta State Command in 1997. CP Muhammed has attended so many workshops and seminars both home and abroad and he has also written so many books some of which are yet to be published, some of his works are:
i. Human Capital Development in Nigeria Police Force; a case study of Lagos state police command.
ii. Conflict Resolution in Nigeria; a case study of plateau state
iii. Community policing in Lagos police Command; a case study of
Apapa and its environs
His hobby includes listening to music, meeting people, reading books and travelling. CP Muhammed is happily married to Hajia Zainab Muhammed and blessed with lovely children.
