Egboh Grace Chioma, niece to Dr. Ben Nwoye, Deputy Chairman South of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has earned a Master of Science (M.Sc) in Public Administration from the National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja.
The new qualification marks the latest milestone in a deliberate academic journey spanning diplomacy, social work, and governance. Chioma earlier obtained a Diploma in International Studies and Diplomacy and a B.Sc in Sociology and Anthropology with specialization in Social Work.
The progression from global affairs to community-level intervention and now to public administration has equipped her with a rare blend of skills for policy and service delivery. “Her foundation in diplomacy gives her a grasp of negotiation and stakeholder management. Social Work grounds her in people-centered problem solving. Public Administration ties both ends together for effective institutional management,” said a governance analyst familiar with her work.
Nigeria’s public sector increasingly demands leaders who combine technical governance skills with empathy and global awareness. Chioma’s profile speaks directly to that need. Industry watchers say professionals with her blend are well-placed for roles in policy analysis, legislative support, public sector reform, program management in NGOs, and international development.
Reacting to the achievement, Dr. Nwoye described his niece’s feat as both a family and national asset.
“Chioma represents the kind of young Nigerian leader our public sector needs, globally aware, socially grounded, and administratively skilled. As we push for greater youth inclusion in the 11th Assembly and beyond, this is the calibre we must mainstream into governance. Her academic record is not just a list of degrees; it is a blueprint for 21st-century public leadership,” Dr. Nwoye stated.
He added that the APC’s commitment to youth participation is strategic, not symbolic, and that talents like Chioma demonstrate why. “We need minds that can translate grassroots insight into policy and manage public institutions with transparency and competence.”
With her M.Sc complete, Egboh Grace Chioma is positioned to contribute to governance, development, and civic innovation in Nigeria and beyond, at a time when institutions are seeking fresh talent to drive service delivery and citizen engagement.
