OKODEH, SEYI TINUBU STRENGTHEN GRASSROOTS MOBILISATION IN BAYELSA

YENAGOA — In a move seen as a boost to youth-driven political engagement in Bayelsa State, Hon. Lucky Okodeh has teamed up with Barr. Seyi Tinubu, National Patron, City Boy Movement, Nigeria alongside the Bayelsa State City Boy Coordinator, Chief. Barr. Blankson Edwin Osomkime to reinforce grassroots mobilisation and political participation among young people.

Hon. Okodeh, a former Caretaker Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area and a well-known grassroots mobilizer popularly referred to as “Dubai Money,” is regarded as a strong political force with deep community connections across the region.

The collaboration, which took place during a recent engagement in the ancient city of Benin Kingdom, focused on consolidating support structures, strengthening party unity, and expanding the reach of youth-focused initiatives across the state.

Speaking at the gathering, Okodeh emphasized the importance of unity and active participation, noting that the involvement of young people remains critical to sustainable political development. He commended Seyi Tinubu’s consistent advocacy for youth inclusion and empowerment across Nigeria.

Seyi Tinubu, in his remarks, reiterated his commitment to building a strong network of progressive-minded youths, stressing that Bayelsa holds significant potential in shaping the future of national politics. He encouraged team-Okodeh to remain committed, organized, and focused on long-term developmental goals.

The Bayelsa State City Boy Coordinator also highlighted ongoing efforts to expand the initiative at the grassroots level, noting that the partnership would further energize supporters and create opportunities for leadership development among youths.

Political observers say the alliance signals a growing trend of youth-centered political structures aimed at fostering inclusivity and strengthening democratic participation in the Niger Delta region.

The strategy session was concluded with renewed commitments from stakeholders to sustain collaboration and deepen engagement across communities in Bayelsa State.
