SONIA SUNDAY KONYEFA FORMER MISS NOLLYWOOD INTERNATIONAL INSPIRES YOUTHS AT BAYELSA NON-DENOMINATIONAL MUSIC FIESTA

Beyond soul-lifting melodies and electrifying performances, the Bayelsa Non-Denominational Music Fiesta also served as a platform for inspiration and empowerment, as former Miss Nollywood International and actress, Sonia Sunday, delivered a stirring talk on entrepreneurship.

The event, convened by Queen Elizabeth Emmanuel in collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigeria, attracted a massive turnout of youths, gospel music enthusiasts, and church groups across the state.

Speaking during the program, Sonia Sunday described the gathering as more than just a music event, emphasizing its deeper spiritual and developmental significance.

“It was such an honor to stand as a speaker on that platform, sharing my voice with passionate, gifted, and purpose-driven young people. This wasn’t just a music event—it was a movement,” she said.

She highlighted the importance of combining talent with purpose and enterprise, encouraging young people to harness their gifts not only for spiritual growth but also for economic empowerment. According to her, the new generation is rising with boldness, skill, and a willingness to make meaningful impact.

Sonia Sunday further commended the organizers for creating what she described as a transformative platform that nurtures both creativity and purpose. “The future is bright, and we are part of it,” she added.

Also lending credence to the event’s significance, the Special Adviser to the Bayelsa State Governor on Religious Matters praised the initiative and applauded the Miss Nollywood Culture and Tourism for organizing a program of such magnitude and influence.

Representing the state leadership of CAN, Bishop Dotimi Egbegi, on behalf of Rev. Fr. Opelema Joseph, emphasized unity among Christian bodies and the need to continuously engage youths through impactful programs.

The fiesta, widely covered by TVAfrica24, also featured competitive choral performances, with RCCG Region 27 Youth Choir emerging as the winner, followed by Jesus Team Mass Choir.

The inclusion of thought leaders like Sonia Sunday added depth to the event, blending entertainment with mentorship and reinforcing the message that faith, talent, and enterprise can coexist as tools for societal transformation.

The Bayelsa Non-Denominational Music Fiesta continues to stand out as a beacon of unity, creativity, and youth empowerment in the state.
