Lies of the Heart 17 July 2020 Update
The episode starts as Samrat takes him aside, in the means of getting it out and then blackmails him. He falls prey and says that it was just a mistake. ishaan says that he had full faith on urmi and hence knew something was wrong. anirudh says that even he couldnt believe. He asks the kulguru to have faith. sandhya says that urmi’s luck is good.

As urmi is sleeping, ishaan takes her hand and apologises to her profusely, that since she has been here, she has faced nothing but troubles, despite what he promised her, a life full of happiness and bliss, and how helpless he feels. he says that he shall solve everything. he asks her not to worry as they can face any problem together.
Ishaan caresses her face lovingly, while she flinches in sleep. He drapes the covers on her. she is disturbed in her sleep, by her earing bothering her. He takes her hand aside deftly, and takes the earring off, and she sleeps peacefully. he smiles and watches to see her sleep, lovingly and affectionately.
The next morning, urmi wakes up with a bad hangover and a worse headache. Her wincing wakes up ishaan, who fell asleep on the sofa, watching her sleep. he gives her water. she asks what happened last night. He asks her not to bother, and rest. But she insists, and he tells her everything. She is shocked and apalled, and ashamed and embarassed too. he asks her not to worry as the Kulguru has calmed down. She remembers samrat instigating her to drink the juice.
Downstairs, as samrat comes down, he finds damini alone, glazing through the magazine. he comes around her with a sullen and tensed face, seeing which she is boggled, but doesnt respond. he asks her if she is okay. she asks why, and replies in a retort. He reminds her urmi’s drama, saying that it bothered him deeply, and can only imagine what she went through, despite what the waiter told, as maybe ishaan did some damage control, to save urmi’s respect. she looks at him angrily. he says that he means no offense, but knowing him as his best friend.
Ishaan is in love and shall try anything to save urmi, being newly weds. she doesnt respond. sandhya watches them from a distance and decides to overhear whats going on. He says that he knew all along this would happen, but hopes from inside, that urmi would change in the six years that have gone by, and asks thm to be prepared for many more hues of urmi to be explored. sandhya tries hard to listen.

He accuses urmi of being a hard core alcoholic, and tries to instigate damini against urmi, as to how she spoiled his life, and turned him to nothing, due to his oppurtunist nature. He says that ishaan is innocent, and hence would get to know, but hopes that he doesnt before its too late. He says that he prays to the lord, that ishaan be saved. Sandhya disbalances, and all are alarmed to see her. She makes an excuse that she was coming this way only. She sits and damini leaves in a huff. sandhya leaves after her. He eyes them both going, with an evil smirk, saying that now she has been instigated enough, and would turn against urmi. He is oblivious that urmi hears all this from the balcony.
As he goes in his room, urmi storms in angrily. he taunts her, asking how’s the hangover and reminds her of her dance last night. He says that she never did anything like this, when she was his wife. she says that noone might know, but she does, that he tampered with her drink, as she knows him to the truest core. he amusingly tells her to explain how she felt the defeat, as she is a game also for him and a toy too. she says that he didnt leave any stone unturned to embarrass her, but its enough, as now she too shall play and make him her toy.
He asks her to keep repeating this again and again, chiding her, as that would give her satisfaction, since he would continue doing one thing or the other. He says that he has come here for only one reason. she says that she would throw him out too, for the same. he belittles her challenge. She says that within 24 hours, she would have him thrown out. he is tensed.
In the kitchen, while urmi prepares fr the rasoi ritual, sandhya asks her whats she making. she says that she is making a carrot dessert happily. sandhya keeps commenting one thing or the other. urmi is tensed. samrat overhears this all from a distance. urmi is hurt at sandhya’s hurtful taunts, but doesnt react. She advises urmi to make it tasty. urmi silently complies. Sandhya leaves. urmi gets back to her work. After finishing her work, she begins to add sugar, but remembers that she kept the press on. She rushes out.

Later, samrat stealthily comes and mixes a lot of salt, saying that he wouldnt let urmi have her way, and shall displease everyone on urmi, and spoil her relation with everyone. He then leaves. After sometime urmi returns, and gets back to work.
All await for urmi’s dessert. tani belittles it, saying that urmi definitely knows how to cook food. Sandhya’s husband vouches for urmi’s culinary talent. Samrat anxiously waits for urmi’s dessert and the reaction that it shall have on everyone. finally urmi gets the dessert and serves it to everyone. All begin to taste the halwa, while urmi anxiously waits for their comments and reactions. samrat thinks evilly that this is the taste that is his special ingredient in her dessert. before samrat can taste, anirudh says that its damn good, and others have the same response, boggling samrat. Urmi eyes this expression, and watches in content, as samrat wonders where did the salt go.
Urmi receives a gift from anirudh, who asks her to keep giving such sweet mixes in everyone’s relationships too, and blesses her. samrat scorns, while urmi smirks at him. she gets a gift from sandhya and her husband too. Damini asks tani to go and get the gift for her. She gives urmi a diamond necklace. she happily accepts it. All look on. Unable to take it anymore, samrat leaves disgusted. tani is told by urmi, that such small things and issues, are what make marriage a sweet journey. she asks tani that she definitely must be missing such things. tani is visibly uncomfortable.
Samrat finds that the jar containing sugar contains salt, and the vice cersa. He wonders how is this possible. urmi comes in smirking. urmi says that she herself changed the jars, as she had the intuition that he would do something like this, given his nature. She says that to ruin her, he stooped down to such a low level and womanly attribute. she starts taking another serving, teasing and taunting him all the more.
She says that this is just the beginning, of his debacle. she asks him to stay put, as his personality shall ruin and destroy him one day. she says that the crossroads where he is, he should stop wasting his time to bother her, and spend more time to settle himself. she again reminds him of the 24hours promise, and says that she doesnt want that he comes to senses after being thrown out. she tauntingly gives him the dessert and leaves. he is enraged at her. He thinks that he would have to secure his place in the house, so that all of her plan fail.
Urmi comes to shaurya and he hugs her. All get emotional to see the mother-son reunion, as tears storll down urmi’s cheeks. She says that she missed him, and he reciprocates asking when would he go with them, and if samrat has left or not. urmi is tensed. She says that he hasnt, but will soon. she then says that after that shaurya would be with her. he happily agrees, and asks her not to bother for him. he gets emotional. Saroj asks them to sit down. Shaurya goes inside to show something for urmi. After he leaves, saroj asks if she found out about her drunken behaviour last night. Saroj asks how could this happen.
Urmi tells saroj and everyone else, how her drink was tampered and how she thinks samrat must have been behind it. All are tensed. gaurav is enraged. Granny asks what now. urmi says that whatever samrat does, she shall not feel intimadated, and shall give back a tit for tat response. She says that would happen, what she wants.
As gaurav’s personal secretary calls up, asha continues her nonsensical rant in english, and dismisses her off, pisses that its a girl. Asha is shocked to hear this, and gets enraged. She gets to know that she joined last week only. she cancels the call, refusing to let her talk to him. She starts suspecting that he has an extra-marital relationship, and starts connecting the dots together.
Samrat comes to the waiter’s aide room, and then asks for his stuff. the waiter gives him a pile of jewellery, that he stole unrisked by the police’s beatings. samrat collects it. samrat begins to leave, when the waiter asks for his share too, in a nice manner, reminding how he ruined ishaan and urmi’s wedding night, on samrat’s instructions. he gives him a necklace, smiling.
As urmi comes home, ishaan asks her to sign some hotel papers. As she complies, Anirudh and sandhya’s husband return. Urmi rushes to get coffee for them, but anirudh stops her. Suddenly, limping on his feet, samrat walks in, shouting everyone to gether together, his hand containing the same packet. He says that he found the stolen jewellery. All are shocked, while ishaan and urmi are doubtful. He shows them the jewellery. He hands them to urmi, while she is shocked and stunned. She eyes him suspiciously.
Sandhya’s husband asks how did he search them. He winces in pain, and says that the theft made him restless, and decided to find out about this, by getting to the bottom. the investigation started. ishaan doubtfully asks whats the whole story. samrat gave a make-believe story, as to how he heroically saved the jewellery from criminal thieves. tani is concerned for his safety, while he pretends to be noble. tani comments that samrat is very brave, while he continues to romance with her.
Anirudh is pleased with him, and urmi and ishaan get tensed to see that he fell prey to samrat’s pray. Damini too says that they had lost all hopes. anirudh says that they were wrong in judging him, as he can see how much samrat cares for everyone in the family, and that tani’s choice for him isnt that wrong. He says that he sees his reflection in him, as he used to be brave like this. he praises him galore, while samrat is excited. urmi and ishaan are shocked, as anirudh declares him as the son-in-law of the house, whole heartedly.
Urmi is stunned. Samrat eyes her evilly, thinking that he created such a scene, that the head of the family is praising him. Anirudh says that he is kind hearted and self-reliant, but he loves tani so much, that he is willing to be Ghar jamaai. He starts praising him about how he has sacrificed his ego and self respect, to gain her family’s trust. He says that he is proud of him, due to tani. Anirudh says that till now, tani never did the right thing, but by choosing him, he forgave her all her mistakes. he says that he selected a gem of a husband. He says that he feels sorry for him, as love has made him helpless. He asks tani to value him. he hugs samrat. From his shoulder, samrat eyes urmi evilly.
In the room, ishaan asks anirudh how could he fall for samrat’s statements and demeanour. Anirudh says that it isnt as it seems. Ishaan is boggled. Anirudh says that the biggest loss, is when the person knows that he has won and starts celebrating, and samrat is behaving like that, and hopes that he lives in this hallucination for somemore time, so that they get the chance to catch him off guard. He says that he did this on purpose, so that he falls in his own trap, by praising him fakely so much. Ishaan is confused.
Lies of the Heart 17 July 2020 Update ends as Anirudh says that people like samrat are like poisonous snakes, ready to bite anytime, and hence this is the best way to get rid of him. ishaan is confused and tensed.
