IGBADIWEI PLEDGES UNITY, DECLARES LEADERSHIP FOR ALL IJAW PEOPLE

The President-elect of the Ijaw National Congress (INC), High Chief McDonald Igbadiwei, has emphasized his commitment to inclusive leadership, declaring that his administration will serve the collective interest of all Ijaw people rather than any single faction.
Speaking during a public engagement, Igbadiwei stated: “I am not the president of one faction, I am the president of the entire Ijaw people.”
The statement underscores his vision of unity and cohesion within the Ijaw nation, a message seen by observers as a call to bridge divides and strengthen collective identity among the people.
Igbadiwei’s remarks come at a time when stakeholders continue to advocate for stronger unity and collaboration across Ijaw communities, both at home and in the diaspora.
Political analysts note that his stance, if sustained, could foster greater inclusiveness and stability within the socio-political structure of the Ijaw nation.
The Ijaw National Congress remains the apex socio-cultural organization representing the interests of the Ijaw people in Nigeria and beyond.
