PDP Bayelsa Plans Historic Reception for Chairman Turnah After Supreme Court Victory

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State has announced plans for a grand reception in honour of its State Chairman, Alabh George Turnah, following his reported victory at the Supreme Court in Abuja.
According to an official statement, the party is calling on leaders, elected officials, stakeholders, members, and the general public to turn out en masse to welcome the chairman as he returns to the state.
The reception is scheduled to hold on Monday, May 4, 2027, with the venue set from the Bayelsa State Tollgate, Igbogene, through to the new State Party Secretariat located near Timikon Gas Station, Okutukutu, along the Isaac Adaka Boro Expressway in Yenagoa. The event is expected to commence at 10:00 a.m. prompt.
The PDP described the event as a “historic welcoming” for the “victorious State Chairman,” urging supporters across the state to give him a rousing reception in recognition of the legal triumph.
The statement, signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Mark Ikaebimo, emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity within the party, noting that the victory marks a significant moment for the PDP in Bayelsa State.
Party faithful and observers say the planned reception is likely to draw a large crowd, reflecting the political significance of the development and the influence of the party within the state.
