CP IYAMAH RECEIVES PARTICIPANTS OF THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF SECURITY STUDIES (NISS) STUDY TOUR TO BAYELSA STATE

The Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command, CP Iyamah Daniel Edebor, psc, IICFIP, foosi, today, 29th April 2026, received participants of the Executive Intelligence Management Course on a study tour to the Command Headquarters, Yenagoa.

The visiting team, led by the Director of Coordination and Liaison Services, Mrs Vivian O. Okpe, was received by CP Iyamah Daniel Edebor. The visit forms part of the participants’ academic and practical exposure aimed at enhancing their capacity in intelligence gathering, analysis, and strategic security management.

In his remarks, the Commissioner of Police welcomed the delegation and commended the initiative behind the course, noting that intelligence-led policing remains critical in addressing contemporary security challenges. He emphasized the importance of collaboration, information sharing, and professionalism in improving operational effectiveness within the Nigeria Police Force.

The team leader of the delegation expressed appreciation for the warm reception and stated that the visit would afford participants the opportunity to understudy operational strategies, intelligence coordination, and community policing efforts within the State.

The visit featured interactive sessions and a guided tour of the Command’s Special Drone Unit.
