TURNAH  VISITS PDP NATIONAL DEPUTY CHAIRMAN, SEEKS SUPPORT FOR BAYELSA REBUILDING EFFORTS

The Bayelsa State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. George Turnah, MON, on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to the National Deputy Chairman (South), Aaron Chukwuemeka, at the party’s National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

Turnah, who described the visit as both strategic and symbolic, said the engagement focused on strengthening the PDP’s structure in Bayelsa State and consolidating ongoing efforts to reposition the party for greater effectiveness.

Speaking with journalists after the meeting, Turnah said he used the opportunity to formally congratulate Chukwuemeka on his emergence and successful assumption of office.

> “I came to personally felicitate with my leader and boss, His Excellency Hon. Aaron Chukwuemeka, on his well-deserved emergence as the National Deputy Chairman (South) of our great party,” Turnah stated.

He added that discussions during the visit were productive and forward-looking, particularly in relation to party unity and grassroots mobilization.

> “We had fruitful discussions centered on supporting our modest efforts in rebuilding the PDP in Bayelsa State. There is a shared commitment to strengthening the party and ensuring it remains a formidable platform for democratic advancement,” he said.

Turnah emphasized that the Bayelsa chapter of the PDP remains resolute in its commitment to internal cohesion, stakeholder engagement, and strategic growth.

Responding, Chukwuemeka appreciated the visit and reaffirmed the commitment of the party’s national leadership to supporting state chapters.

> “The success of our party at the national level is deeply tied to the strength of our structures at the state level. I commend the leadership in Bayelsa for their efforts and assure you of our full support,” he said.

The meeting underscores ongoing consultations within the PDP aimed at fostering unity and repositioning the party ahead of future political engagements across the country.
