Ekeremor, Bayelsa State — Political momentum is building in Ekeremor Local Government Area as supporters across Constituency 1 intensify campaigns in favor of Hon. Laeticia Judge-Ere, the current Councillor representing Ward 1 and Deputy Leader of the Ekeremor Legislative Assembly.

Residents and stakeholders have continued to express confidence in her leadership, citing her performance and historic emergence as the first female councillor in Ward 1 as a turning point for inclusive governance in the area.
In a statement addressed to constituents, Hon. Judge-Ere reaffirmed her commitment to service and grassroots development, while appreciating the leadership of Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, and his deputy, for what she described as “transformative and progressive governance.”

Reflecting on her journey, she highlighted the significance of her election, noting that it marked a break from long-standing gender barriers in local politics. She emphasized her resolve to expand opportunities for women and improve the welfare of all residents.
“As your representative, I understand the struggles of our people—from lack of clean water and inadequate schools to poor healthcare access and economic hardship. I am committed to bringing lasting solutions,” she stated.
Hon. Judge-Ere outlined key priorities including provision of potable water, youth and women empowerment, improved healthcare systems, better educational facilities, and addressing environmental and social challenges such as erosion, insecurity, and drug abuse.

She also called for unity among constituents, urging them to support her vision for accelerated development and prosperity across the ward and the constituency and beyond.
In a separate appeal to the people of Ekeremor Constituency 1, the lawmaker declared her intention to serve at a higher capacity, assuring voters of her readiness and capability.
“My record in Ward 1 speaks for itself. I will deliver even more. Entrust me with this mandate, and together we will build a stronger and more prosperous future,” she said.
Political observers note that her growing support base, particularly among women and youths, may play a decisive role in the upcoming elections.
As campaigns gather pace, all eyes remain on Ekeremor, where voters are expected to make critical decisions that will shape the political landscape of the constituency.
