ACTORS GUILD OF NIGERIA   HOLDS EMERGENCY MEETING  AHEAD OF  ELECTION IN BAYELSA STATE

As the election of the actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) draws closer, the newly appointed Chairperson of the Guild  Hon. Lilian Okus  held an emergency meeting with members and aspirants as she trashes very important issues with them for a hitch free  Elections.

The  Electoral Commission (AGNEC) has fixed March 2023  for the election urged members to revalidate their membership to vote and be voted for.

The acting Chairperson who is a veteran Nollywood Actress Lilian Okus commended members and stakeholders of the Actors Guild of Nigeria for showing enthusiasm towards attending meetings and to ensure they  revalidate  their membership, frown at those who sent their revalidation to National instead of doing it through the Caretaker body appointed by the National Adding that they should respect constituted authorities.

Speaking at the  meeting. The Vice President Actors Guild of Nigeria South South Chief. Mokilese Osain  advised members to always respect leadership adding that the  constitution of the Guild must be respected that the only way the needed peace can be achieved is to love one another stressing that Bayelsa State AGN is peaceful compare to some other state Chapters, advised members to take the Guilds activities serious.

According  to the acting Secretary Actors Guild of Nigeria Bayelsa State Chapter Martins P. Zidebegha  warned members not to stay away from the Guilds activities and come back later saying if everybody left the Guild, who will be running the affairs of the Guild when they are not around noting that anointing you don’t value cannot bless you saying members should know why they are members.

Former Chairman Association of Movie Producers of Nigeria (AMP) who doubled as former Director of Guilds Services (DGS) (AGN) His Royal Highness Joel Orduve  appealed to revalidated members to embide sportsmanship after the election if he or she did not win saying it is not do or die affairs “Doing so will help to reassure the public of the robustness of our Guild and to strengthen our processes going forward.

The Chairperson also use the opportunity to ask Aspirants to introduce themselves to the House among other things.

The meeting took place at the Nostalgea Cinemas Etegwe Opposite school road yenagoa Bayelsa State
