Heartbroken 54-year-old woman spends £8,000 on ‘revenge body’ after finding out her boyfriend is engaged
A 54-year-old jilted woman has spent more than £8,000 to get the perfect ‘revenge body’ after discovering her partner of 18 months was engaged to someone else.
Jo Ann Munz, from Las Vegas, seemed to be in a happy relationship with her partner for over a year, but was shocked when he admitted to being engaged with someone after he she confronted him.
This led her to lose 30lbs, avoiding social functions/gatherings and becoming depressed.
Jo Ann made up her mind that even that she was going to go through cosmetic surgery to get the perfect body as revenge on her ex for betraying her and spent £8,280 ($10,650) to completely change her look.
Her surgery included replacement breast implants costing £6,213 ($8,000), a plasma fibroblast at £776 ($1,000), Botox which cost £776 ($1000), micro-needling for £388 ($500) and a chemical peel at £116 ($150).
The new look and body gave her a new found confidence and she started posting sultry snaps on her Instagram page, doing modelling shoots and even took part in a naked photoshoot in the desert after turning 50
According to Jo Ann, she didn’t know her new found lifestyle was motivating other women and she regularly gets positive comments from friends and well wishers.
“Revenge was the impetus originally for my first photo shoot, but once I started getting positive responses from women, I realised that I was inspiring some of them to step out of their comfort zones,” Jo Ann said to Mirror UK
“With age comes a sense of cool. If you don’t like me or my style, okay. I feel much more attractive now because I have confidence.

“I’m not trying to turn every head in the room just enjoy the moment. I’ve learned how to hide my flaws for the days when I’m just not feeling it.”
She added: “There’s lots of ‘colourful’ comments from men that’s inevitable.
“People immediately either love me or hate me there’s no middle ground.
“One of my brothers is always telling me to put some clothes on.
“My friends really support and love what I do with photoshoots. They admire that I always move to my own beat and do what I want.
“Once, I was at a photoshoot and no one could remember my name and so they just called me Barbie.
“Water is you best friend, drink it. Don’t make any cosmetic changes unless they’re for you. Be consistent with your exercise and good eating habits but plan for a cheat day.
“Stop comparing yourself to a photoshopped image of perfection. I look at altered pictures of myself and I wish I looked like her too.
“Confidence is the sexiest accessory a woman can wear. Fake it until you don’t need to anymore.”
