SALGA COUNCIL PARTNERS NIGERIAN YOUTH PARLIAMENT TO COMBAT TUBERCULOSIS
Sagbama LG boss, Hon. Embeleakpo P Alale on Monday received a delegation of the Nigerian Youth Paliament (Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency) who paid a
familiarisation visit to SALGA’s Chief Executive at his office, Sagbama Council Secretariat.
Member representing Bayelsa West in the Youth Parliament, Hon. Tarabenabo Ebi Stella who spoke on behalf of the delegation, briefed The Executive Chairman on the forthcoming Public Awareness Campaign against Tuberculosis in Sagbama LGA.
Identifying Tuberculosis as a killer disease which should be stamped out completely, Hon. Embeleakpo promised to provide necessary financial and logistic support to aid the smooth execution of the programme in target communities in Sagbama LGA.
His words: “I commend The Nigerian Youth Parliament for making Community Service one of the focal points by way of contributing to the development of the society. Council is prepared to give your team the needed support to take the fight against Tuberculosis to the nooks and crannies of our Local Government Area.”
