MIXED REACTIONS TRAIL BRASS LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN’S DECAMPMENT  TO SDP

Former Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in Brass Local Government Area, Barr. Philemon Kelly Dickson, has knocked the Brass Local Government Chairman, Hon. Victor Isaiah over his decision to decamp from the PDP to join the Social Democratic Party, SDP.

Barr. Dickson who described the Chairman’s move as “a dangerous escapede” said it is “disheartening, distasteful, retrogressive and reprehensible”

The chairman had in his resignation letter to the PDP stated that he was going to pursue his ambition, an indication which justifies a recent rumour that he is keen on contesting the Brass Constituency 2 seat in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.

According to him, the PDP no longer provides a platform for him to continue serving his people and providing democratic dividends.

However, others who reacted to the development fingered the high handedness of some party leaders and stakeholders in Brass LGA as they are bent on sidelining Hon. Victor Isaiah
