Miss Abia, Queen Daniella Daniel who scored 70820 votes has defeated 36 other contestants to emerge the overall winner of Face of Hope Pageant, a beauty contest championed by Nigeria’s music star and song writer, Innocent Udeme Udofot, better known as MC Galaxy.
She was announced on Wednesday Feb. 14 which is the Valentine’s Day celebrated across the world.
The grand finale took place at Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja, where Miss Abia was unveiled as winner of N10m cash prize along with a brand new car and other fantastic prizes.
AbujaPress reports that the first runner-up is Miss Kano Maimunag Haruna who scored 44363 votes while Miss Borno Jordan Josephine with 14510 became the second runner up, both going home with N3m and N2m each with other fantastic prizes.
The star-studded event
had different presentations from the contestants from unity dance to traditional display to special talent and the final dinner gown parade on stage.
Top artistes who performed to thrill guests include, Acapella, Funny Bone and a violinist Victor Strings.
TV reality star, Uti Nwachukwu and a former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria Anna Banner were the judges, while Nollywood’s Tonto Dike was the chief judge.
Media personalities, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Nancy Isime were the event hosts.
The organizer, MC Galaxy the sekem crooner while congratulating the winners said the pageant is strategically organised to bring out the creativity in young ladies so that they will be exposed to numerous opportunities in the entertainment, modeling and branding landscapes.
According to him, more of similar events will take place in the future to offer opportunities to young talented Nigerians to attain their full potentials.
