Rt. Hon. Paul Ebikeseiye is a proud son of Tungbo Clan in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. He is a visionary leader whose life journey reflects resilience, service, and an unwavering commitment to humanity. As the first child in his family, he has consistently demonstrated responsibility, discipline, and leadership from an early age.
Educational Background
Rt. Hon. Ebikeseiye began his academic journey at Community Primary School, Tungbo, and Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Tungbo, where his leadership potential was evident. He served as Head Boy and later Senior Prefect—roles that showcased his organizational strength and ability to inspire peers.
He proceeded to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the prestigious Niger Delta University, equipping him with strong analytical and managerial skills. His quest for continuous development further led him to participate in programmes at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Jos, and Youth Leadership Training in Lekki, Lagos, where he deepened his knowledge in governance, leadership, and youth development.
Trailblazer in Youth and Community Leadership
Rt. Hon. Paul Ebikeseiye’s commitment to service is evident in his extensive contributions to youth and community development. In 2012, he made history as the Pioneer President of the National Union of Tungbo-Ebe Students Worldwide, fostering unity and advocacy among young people.
He served diligently as Secretary and later Chairman of the Tungbo-Ebe Festival Planning Committee for over six years, demonstrating consistency and organizational excellence. His leadership profile further expanded when he was elected Chairman of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Tungbo Clan (2014–2017), where he promoted youth inclusiveness, peace, and community advancement.
In recognition of his competence, he was elected as a Parliamentarian in the IYC 4th Mobile Parliament Worldwide (2017–2020), representing and advancing the interests of the Ijaw nation. In the same year, he became the Pioneer Youth President of the SALGA Federated Youth Council Worldwide, where he made significant contributions to youth development across Sagbama LGA.
Additionally, he has served three times as Publicity Secretary of the IYC Central Zone Boro Day Planning Committee, recording notable achievements in each capacity.
Also, Paul has served two IYC National Presidents (Barr. Oweilaemi Peretubo and Dcn Peter Igbifa) as Special Assistants. Same way he has served two IYC Zonal Chairmen as Special Assistant one Media and Publicity (Barr. Tare Porri and Comrade Kennedy Olorogun) with dedication and professionalism.
Public Service and Political Leadership
Rt. Hon. Ebikeseiye’s leadership extends into governance and public service. He served as an elected Councilor for Sagbama Ward 13 (2019–2022) and later as Deputy Leader of the 10th Legislative Council, where he contributed meaningfully to lawmaking, oversight, and community advocacy.
During his tenure, he chaired the House Committee on Youth and Information, reinforcing his passion for youth engagement and policy-driven development. Following his council tenure, he was appointed Special Assistant on General Duties to the Governor of Bayelsa State (2022–2024), where he contributed to governance and strengthened grassroots-government relations.
He also served as Director General, PDP New Media, Bayelsa State (2024–2025), where he effectively coordinated digital communication, youth mobilization, and public engagement strategies.
Currently, he serves as Director, Centre for Youth Development, Sagbama LGA, and General Manager of Dr. Alfred Izon-Ebi (JKing) & De Because of Love Crew—roles that highlight his versatility, innovation, and commitment to youth empowerment.
