I SHOULD NOT BE BLAMED FOR LEAVING PDP BECAUSE I SEE MORE TOP PEOPLE LEAVING THE PDP.  BRASS LGA CHAIRMAN

I am fully aware of the sinister plans to impeach me as a result of my recent defection to the Social Democratic Party, SDP.

While I am not afraid of impeachment, I must warn those directed to execute their nefarious plan to follow due process as I will not condone any security threat in Brass Local Government Area as long as I remain the Chief Security Officer of the Council.

I understand that my defection is not going down well with the top echelon of my former party especially those calling the shots in Creek Haven, hence the desperation to unseat me before the expiration of my tenure.

Bayelsans and indeed the general public would recall that the decamping spree started right in the governor’s local government and particularly in his own constituency when his former close aide, Hon. Suoyo Appah joined another party. That was a clear sign that there were cracks in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that needed to be covered.

I feel pity for my former party because its current leadership lacks the ability to resolve lingering issues, unify the entire members, and give them a sense of belonging.

Today’s defection of Barr. Tesufa Alex Dumbo is the beginning of mass defection from the Bayelsa PDP. Many more will still leave their party so they can continue with the segregation and high-handedness.

We have left the party for them since they do not appreciate our efforts. So no one should blame me for leaving the PDP. I could not have stayed in a party that segregates those who have staked their lives to it.

Hon. Victor Inodunimi Isaiah
Executive Chairman, Brass Local Government Council
