With the rising Western coalition against Vladimir Putin, they have lost the leadership needed to mediate in a world that now desperately needs a leadership of reason, maturity and global interest, instead of issuing threats flanked by armored tanks. You can’t be asking for peace and you are sanctioning the same Russia. The UNITED STATES did everything during the Cuban missile crises to avoid the same thing Russia is taking steps to avoid which is that you can’t have your adversary set up a military base in your backyard. All the steps the United States took then did not consider that Cuba was an independent or sovereign nation as they are claiming now.
What use will economic sanctions or all their threats of war crimes be when a nuclear war starts? Is Ukraine really worth an end to the world as we know it? The so called world powers forcibly entrusted with maintenance global order now feel too big to speak to their enemy in a time like this to save the world. If you do not speak to your enemy in time of need, who else should you be speaking to; a friend? There is a saying that you keep your friends close and then your enemy even closer. There is a reason for that!
The world now needs leaders who would sit down and talk with the enemy and save the world. That’s strength! You step in and calm the situation and not to threaten and sanction because when you push a man to the wall and he has nowhere to go, he will turn to the only way available; back to you and fight.
Russia definitely could have invaded Ukraine long ago. I suspect Something must have triggered this action now aside what we know. As it is, I doubt if Russia will stop at Ukraine alone. It is now a test of the will of the so called ALMIGHTY USA AND her allies. Imagine China too taking to Hong Kong /Taiwan. North Korea taking on South Korea, where will the USA and all their so called NATO face? Which war will they wage ? All these were avoidable and is still manageable now if the world leaders can save a face and intervene the right way.
Decision making for a leader is a very crucial thing that even lives can hang on it without notice. No leader assumes office to be a war time President. It’s something you must accept and deal with but history never forgets to take stock of your actions. The quality of leaders we recruit determine the difference between life or death. When you recruit a comedian who thinks war is comedy, you don’t expect much. As we speak, the Russian capital is not under attack. The United States is not under attack. No NATO country is having their people killed or cities under attack except UKRAINE but they are sending arms to Ukraine for them to fight and they have a President who thinks war is comedy. He thinks he can defeat Russia, a country that birthed them, a country that even Putin has ancestral roots (Putin’s mother is from Ukraine). That means they know everything about Ukraine and they are actually majorly Russians just as Belarus is full of Russians. Belarus actually means “WHITE RUSSIANS “. This is just a fight of siblings that USA and their allies are about to turn to a doomsday and global war.
In leadership, one is taught that when you have a problem with your enemy, the first thing to do is dialogue. All wars ends up with that same table they are avoiding. For us in Africa, we have no voice. In fact, just as Britain currently keeps poking the nose of war with Russia now, they will use commonwealth to require our soldiers to come fight for them and die while theirs stay well fed. To add to this misery, African leaders years ago signed a pact called the Pelindaba treaty which has tied not just us but future generations from having nuclear weapons for defense so no African country has one known to record to even defend itself should we get to that. We are helpless and hopeless if the inevitable happens. Any African seeing the inhumanity displayed by Ukraine towards black people even at times like this at the borders should think twice shedding a tear for Ukraine and all those racist nations.
A United Africa will be far greater than all the revered world powers combined because we have everything they need while we need a few they have and they know this hence they give us loans to keep us indebted so we can’t talk. They invest in making us inferior and dividing us so we can never have one voice. Whatever is from Africa is nothing good even recently the COVID vaccine they manufactured and shipped to Africa, after making African nations spend billions to get it, as soon as it arrives Africa, they said it was not good anymore. To add to this, we are too greedy to love ourselves and prosper as one.
We live in a world where whatever the United States and their allies do is right. Nothing else is right except they say so. The world now belong to them and not God anymore. So Libya could be invaded and Gaddafi killed , no international law or outcry. Saddam Hussien killed after invasion, no international law. When they did what they did in Cuba to avoid what they are preaching against today, there was no call for the sovereignty of Cuba. Syria could be invaded etc and everything was fine. If there is one thing I have understood about global politics , it’s that these people have perfected the art of propaganda to make gullible people accept their view.
Indeed, a new world order that will rest on the surviving circumstances of this war if at all we survive is coming. God help us.
