DAVID SOLOMON INTENSIFIES CONSULTATIONS FOR SILGA CONSTITUENCY 3 AS HE BUILDS GRASSROOTS SUPPORT

A frontline aspirant for the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area (SILGA) Constituency 3 Assembly seat, Dr. Solomon David, has intensified political consultations as he engages key stakeholders across the constituency ahead of the forthcoming polls.
As part of his ongoing outreach, Dr. David recently met with Hon. Barr. Festus Daumiebi, a respected political figure from the constituency, in what is widely seen as part of efforts to consolidate support and strengthen his grassroots base.
Dr. David, who currently serves as Technical Adviser to Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, is widely regarded for his long-standing involvement in public service and leadership. His political journey dates back to his university days, where he served as President of the Students’ Union Government, earning a reputation as a development-oriented leader.
Over the years, he has also held several strategic positions, including serving as the first Chief of Staff in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, as well as an Ex-Aide to the Chief of Staff, Government House, Bayelsa State.
He is also noted as a former Director of the Direct Labour Agency, Southern Ijaw Rep in the Agency and the pioneer Director-General of the PDP Youth Alliance, roles in which he was described as a strong grassroots mobiliser and youth-oriented leader.
Speaking during his consultation tour, Dr. David reaffirmed his commitment to selfless service, stressing that his leadership vision would be anchored on integrity, inclusiveness, and the fear of God.
“I am committed to serving our people with sincerity, transparency, and the fear of God. Our constituency deserves purposeful representation that will drive development and inclusiveness,” he stated.
Political observers note that Dr. David’s emergence is particularly significant for Opuama Kingdom, where he is considered a leading aspirant, with stakeholders pointing out that the area is yet to produce a representative for the constituency seat.
With consultations ongoing and momentum building, the race for SILGA Constituency 3 is gradually taking shape, with Dr. Solomon David positioning himself as a strong contender with deep grassroots connections and extensive administrative experience.
