Nwankwo, popularly known as AlexReports expressed delight that public relations is occupying a front burner in national discourse especially with regards to deepening effective leadership and good governance across board, commending the sole regulator of public relations in the country, the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) for the value and relevance it has given PR.
He noted that this year’s theme of World PR Day, “Building Bridges And Overcoming Polarization” aligns with the rapid evolvement of public relations which has become a tool to lead, unify and co-exist.
“The theme of 2025 WPRD is timely and raises consciousness of practitioners on the new solution PR brings on board beyond the traditional information dissemination and protocol function. It has become a tool for leaders to deepen good governance and improve the lives of communities and people across the world through strategic communication”, he stated.
AlexReports lauded the President of NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku for the impactful initiatives he brings on board that has raised the profile of the Institute and PR professional in recent years.
He particularly thanked Dr. Neliaku for the efforts to build the University of Public Relations and Leadership (UPRL), the first of its kind around the globe, which will serve as a hub to raise credible leaders who will build a new Nigeria.
While frowning at the activities of quacks who go about bringing dishonor to the profession without undergoing relevant training programmes at NIPR, AlexReports urged the Dr. Neliaku-led Council to remain firm and resolute in ensuring that quacks to not have a place to carry out their nefarious activities in the country.
According to him, they undermine efforts to entrench decorum and strengthen professionalism in PR, urging that no effort should be spared to arrest and prosecute them.
