Women in Worship: Anglican Church Kubwa Abuja Drives Unity Through Rich Cultural Display
Saint Andrew’s Anglican Church, Kubwa Abuja is your favorite place for Sunday worship as women in the church have come up with the initiative of spicing up worship with unique display of their cultural heritage.
The women comprising various Nigerian tribes are classified in groups, then given opportunity to entertain the entire congregation with the display of cultural dance.
One after the other they file in pairs before the worshippers to thrill them with their electrifying dance steps, a move that has enhanced unity among various ethnic groups in the church.
It has also spurred the interest of worshippers to look forward to attending worship every Sunday as these women groups always make it a memorable one.
This has also created fresh avenues for bonding among families as husbands and children come out to appreciate their wives and mothers by showing love to them overwhelmingly.
Group 2 had won the trophy as the overall best performing women group for the year 2023.
The women leader of the church, Barr. Mrs. Ann Ikpeabanobi hailed the women for their dance performances on Sunday and assured that more support will be provided to them as they drive cultural heritage of their tribes to the front burner.
