Early Hours of yesterday , the National director General pastor Reuben initiative for Good leadership and accountability Dr. Solomon David Accompanied the running Mate to Chief Timipre Sylva His Excellency Great Joshua MacIver to Opuama Community as over 500 and more people from the 16 Communities in Opuama defected to the All Progressives Congress APC.
The people of Opuama Main Town in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State and the 16 Communities under Opuama came out in mass to reaffirm their undiluted support for Sylva/MacIver and their willingness to ensure APC’s victory is total and landslide come November 11th 2023.
The decampees stated that their defection to the APC ahead of the November 11 Governorship Election is one that is born out of the unflappable leadership qualities possessed by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, Chief. Timipre Marlin Sylva and Great Joshua Maciver as the duo have been tested, trusted and equipt for progressive leadership and are grassroots based politicians capable of bringing the dividend of democracy to their door steps against the wasted four years of the deceptive PDP administration in Bayelsa State.
The defectors declared that they were all dropping their various peanut appointments with the PDP as it rather enslaved them with poverty as they could barely feed their families with zero impact on their followers while they bared names on paper as government appointees with no commensurate evidence to show for it, reiterating that political appointees under Sylva’s administration as governor of Bayelsa State built houses for themselves and had positive impact on their followers but that’s not the case in the prosperity leadership, surely characterized by parochialism, deception and life sniffing as appointees are all stifled in the circle of sentiments while his family members were building large hotels with the state resources and owning properties everywhere at the expense of the development of critical infrastructure and human capacity in the State.
