Turnah lauds Lokpobiri for reviving PH Refinery, hails Ogbuku on rice production

The South-South Zonal Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barr. George Alabh Turnah (MON) has congratulated Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, Ph.D., Nigeria’s Oil Minister, for spearheading the revitalization of the Port Harcourt refinery.

The commendation was contained in a statement issued by his media aide, Kelvin Loveday-Egbo, and made available to Mangrovepen.ng.

He also acknowledged that under Lokpobiri’s leadership, the refinery is on course to enhance operational efficiency, significantly strengthen Nigeria’s energy security, and stimulate local economic growth.

Turnah also extolled Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for his contributions in improving rice production initiatives.

According to him, Ogbuku’s dedication to agricultural development is vital in addressing local food security challenges and improving farmers’ livelihoods in the Niger Delta.

“This aligns with the nation’s broader goal of achieving self-sufficiency in agriculture,” he said.

Turnah also expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for entrusting both leaders with their pivotal roles, insisting that their dynamic governance has brought about transformative reforms.

“Both Lokpobiri and Ogbuku have successfully delivered on their mandates, showcasing the potential of dedicated governance to effect substantial change,” he concluded.
