Tinubu is Our Primary Concern in APC, No One Should Leave the Party, Pastor Reuben Charges Supporters

The founder of Pastor Reuben Initiative for Good Leadership and Accountability (PRIFGLA), Chief Pastor Reuben Clifford, has declared that “President Bola Tinubu remains the primary concern for the initiative,” urging members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to remain steadfast and loyal to the party ahead of future elections.

Speaking at the first meeting of the initiative in 2026, which had his presence in attendance, he emphasized unity, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to the APC. The initiative, which operates across the 36 states of Nigeria, convened to deliberate on party matters and reinforce solidarity among members.

In his opening remarks, the State Director of the initiative appreciated Chief Pastor Reuben for giving him the opportunity to serve, describing PRIFGLA as “the vision of one man.” He also commended the State Working Committee for their support and cooperation, noting that the meeting marked the first official gathering of the year with the founder in attendance.

Chief Pastor Reuben began his address with songs of thanksgiving to God for the preservation of life and the safety of all members of the initiative. He stated that although the meeting was not originally planned, his deep love for the APC compelled him to attend in person for the first time this year.

He expressed gratitude to the State Director and all departments of the initiative for their continued support and dedication. Reflecting on the party’s journey, he said the initiative had long prayed for the APC to produce a governor in Bayelsa State, and that God had answered those prayers.

The Founder commended Douye Diri for his leadership qualities, describing him as a good man who needs the prayers of the people to continue taking the right decisions for the state. He urged members to consistently pray for the governor’s success.

Chief Pastor Reuben further stated that Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains his primary and secondary political concern, insisting that the President must be re-elected. According to him, President Tinubu is pleased that Bayelsa State now aligns with the APC and will continue to do better if given another mandate.

“I have never betrayed the APC,” he declared, revealing that during Tinubu’s last election, he committed all he had in support of the President’s victory and would do the same again for his re-election.

While frowning at certain decisions taken without informing him, Chief Pastor Reuben maintained that nothing would make him leave the party because of his love for it. However, he advised party leaders to carry everyone along in decision-making processes to avoid internal grievances.

He passionately pleaded with members not to defect to other political parties, even if they feel denied of their rights. “No one should leave the party for anybody,” he stressed, adding that the essence of the meeting was to encourage members to stand firm and remain loyal to the APC.

The gathering ended with renewed assurances of commitment, unity, and support for both the Bayelsa State Governor and President Tinubu, as members pledged to remain resolute in advancing the party’s vision.
