Today, I had the honor of attending the burial ceremony of the late Pa Douglas Nelson Akitikpo in Oporoma, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. The grand service brought together leaders, traditional rulers, and key government officials from various sectors, uniting in remembrance of a beloved community pillar.

Notably, Pa Akitikpo was the respected father-in-law of Rt Hon Monday Obolo, the Leader of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly. His exemplary life and enduring legacy continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
