Yesterday, in my capacity as the National Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Phase 2, I had the honor of leading a distinguished delegation comprising leaders and beneficiaries of the phase 2 Niger Delta Amnesty Programme to Azzuzuama Community in Southern Ijaw, where we attended the burial ceremony of the late Chief Kile Torughedi, who passed on at the remarkable age of 98.

We came in solidarity and deep respect to honor the father of our brother and Leader, HRH Dr. Selky Kile Torughedi AKA General Young Shall Grow. It was a moment of reflection, unity, and love — celebrating the life of a man who raised a son that has played a key role in the struggle for peace and development in our region.
In his heartfelt remarks, General Young Shall Grow expressed sincere gratitude to me and the entire PAP Phase 2 delegation. He recalled my earlier condolence visit and the promise I made to stand by him when the time for the funeral came. Keeping that promise, he said, was a true show of love and respect — a value we must all continue to uphold in leadership and brotherhood.

I thank everyone who journeyed with us. May the soul of the late Chief Kile Torughedi rest in peace, and may his legacy live on through the lives he touched.
