Soldier threatens to commit suicide on top of tower after police brutality

A Nigerian soldier, simply identified as Ali, created a scene yesterday, June 4, 2020, after he climbed the very tall Roadblock Tower in Jalingo, Taraba State.

While atop the over 24fts tall tower, the soldier who is said to be on leave, threatened to jump down.

According to eyewitnesses who prevented him from fulfilling his wish, the soldier was allegedly brutalized by some policemen and so decided to climb the tower out of anger.

At some point, he reportedly vowed to remain there until the Governor of the state or police commissioner comes to talk to him.
