PRESIDENTIAL AMNESTY PROGRAMME PETITIONERS ARE FACELESS, NOT BENEFITIARIES – Salvation Ibena Rufus

The National Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Phase 2, Ibena Rufus Salvation, has dismissed the recent petition against the PAP Administrator, Dennis Burutu Otuaro, describing the allegations as baseless and orchestrated by individuals who do not represent the interests of the Niger Delta people.
Reacting to the petition reportedly submitted to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) by one Odey Otunu and his so-called Niger Delta Liberators and Ex-Agitators Forum, Salvation stated categorically that Odey Otunu is neither a beneficiary of the Amnesty Programme nor an indigene of the Niger Delta region.
He further emphasized that the entire petition is the handiwork of faceless individuals seeking to destabilize the region and tarnish the image of the PAP Administrator, whose leadership has been widely applauded by genuine beneficiaries and stakeholders across Phases 1, 2, and 3 of the programme.
“We will not allow elements who are enemies of progress to derail the laudable efforts of President Bola Tinubu’s administration in ensuring sustainable development in the Niger Delta,” Salvation said.
According to him, the entire Niger Delta region remains happy with the leadership of Dennis Burutu Otuaro, who has been working tirelessly to implement the programme’s mandate effectively. He urged the EFCC and the general public to disregard the baseless petition, describing it as a distraction by individuals who have no stake in the region’s progress.
Salvation further reaffirmed the commitment of the Presidential Amnesty Programme towards ensuring the empowerment, reintegration, and development of the region, calling on all well-meaning Niger Deltans to support the Administrator rather than allow external forces to create unnecessary tension.
