PRESIDENTIAL AMNESTY PROGRAM BENEFICIARIES HOLD SOLIDARITY RALLY IN YENAGOA TO CELEBRATE ONE YEAR OF CHIEF DR. DENNIS BURUTU OTUARO’S TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP

Yenagoa, Bayelsa State—In a remarkable display of unity and appreciation, thousands of beneficiaries under the Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP) gathered in Yenagoa yesterday for a solidarity rally to celebrate the achievements of Chief Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro as he marks his first year in office as Administrator of the program.

The rally, which saw participation from leaders and beneficiaries across all three phases of the PAP, underscored the significant strides made under Dr. Otuaro’s leadership. Over the past thirteen years, the Amnesty Program has been instrumental in fostering peace and development in the Niger Delta, with successive administrators making commendable contributions. However, Dr. Otuaro’s administration has ushered in an era of unmatched progress, empowerment, and sustainable development within just one year.

Speaking at the event, the National Chairman of PAP Phase 2, Gen. Ibena Rufus Salvation, lauded Dr. Otuaro for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of ex-agitators and the overall development of the region.

“Dr. Otuaro has redefined leadership in the Amnesty Program. His approach to empowerment, vocational training, and reintegration has not only brought hope to beneficiaries but has also restored confidence in the program’s objectives. His vision and dedication are evident in the numerous achievements recorded within just one year in office,” he stated.

He further expressed profound appreciation to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for appointing a capable and visionary leader like Chief Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro to steer the affairs of the Amnesty Program. He also commended the National Security Adviser (NSA) and all other stakeholders whose unwavering support has contributed to the success of the program under Dr. Otuaro’s leadership.

In addition, Gen. Salvation used the opportunity to strongly condemn the acts of blackmail, lies, and propaganda attacks against Dr. Otuaro by some dubious and unscrupulous elements. He warned those involved in organizing false protests and fabricating accusations in the media to desist from such acts, as their actions are aimed at disrupting the existing peace in the Niger Delta.

“We will not allow a few individuals with selfish interests to destabilize the peace and progress we have achieved. Dr. Otuaro’s leadership has brought hope and transformation, and we will stand by him against any form of blackmail and deceitful propaganda. The Presidential Amnesty Program is for the benefit of all, and we must not allow falsehoods to undermine its progress,” Gen. Salvation declared.

The event was filled with chants of solidarity and gratitude, as beneficiaries expressed their excitement over the reforms and opportunities being introduced into the Amnesty Program. Many described Dr. Otuaro’s leadership as a turning point for the PAP, bringing about renewed hope, strategic empowerment initiatives, and a clear vision for sustainable peace and development in the Niger Delta.

The rally concluded with a firm commitment from ex-agitators to continue supporting the Federal Government’s peace and development agenda while calling for sustained reforms that would further strengthen the Amnesty Program.

**Long live the Presidential Amnesty Program!

Long live the Niger Delta!
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!**

Signed:
Gen. Ibena Rufus Salvation
National Chairman, PAP Phase 2
