The visit marked a memorable occasion not only for the two esteemed leaders but also for the community of Otuoke, the hometown of the former President.

During the visit, the Ọọni of Ifẹ offered heartfelt praises for Dr. Jonathan, referring to him as “a gift of God to mankind.” He expressed that the former President serves as a source of inspiration due to his exemplary leadership and the lasting legacies he has created. The gathering was led by His Royal Highness Engoye Ariwereni, the Traditional Ruler of the Otuoke community, who expressed the pride and honour felt by the residents in hosting such a revered figure.

The royal visit took on a deeper significance when the Ọọni and Olori paid a special visit to Mama Eunice Jonathan at her residence in Otuoke.
