PDP NATIONAL PUBLICITY SECRETARY HOSTS IRI DELEGATION, EXPLORES OPPORTUNITIES FOR COLLABORATION

Earlier today, I received a delegation from the International Republican Institute (IRI) at my office in Wadata Plaza, PDP National Headquarters, Abuja.

Our interaction was warm, productive, and insightful, focusing on opportunities for collaboration aimed at strengthening political institutions, deepening democratic practice, and enhancing the capacity of our party to effectively contribute to Nigeria’s electoral and governance processes. We further explored avenues to improve stakeholder engagement and support initiatives that advance democratic values and good governance.

The IRI delegation was led by Mr. William Meeker, Senior Director, Africa & MENA Regions. He was accompanied by Mr. Sentell Barnes, Regional Program Director, West Africa; Ms. Keziah Waweru, Senior Program Manager, Africa Division; and Mr. Sunday Alao, Senior Governance Advisor, West Africa.

I appreciate the delegation for the visit and the constructive engagement. I also commend the IRI team for the valuable exchange of ideas and perspectives. Such interactions provide an important platform for building stronger relationships, advancing democratic development, and exploring initiatives that can further strengthen political parties and democratic institutions in Nigeria.

I look forward to sustained engagement and future collaboration in promoting democratic values, strengthening political institutions, and supporting the continued growth of Nigeria’s democracy.
