PDP Youths of Isampou in EKelga Cries out, Appeal to Governor Douye Diri
Youths of Isampou in Ekeremor Local Government Area Bayelsa state, under the aegis of ‘Concerned Youths of Isampou Community,’ has said they are not happy with the political slavery given them by political leaders in the community.
The youths expressed their displeasure in a letter dated 15th May, 2023, and signed by Comrade Ebi Eyororokumo (Coordinator) and Kalama Justice (Secretary) with the caption “PDP concerned youths of Isampou community Ward one (1) EKELGA cries out to Governor Douye Diri.”
According to them, despite their support for the PDP during and after every election, they are always neglected by political leaders of the community who only recommend their children, wives, ex-wives and girlfriends for appointments, empowerments and other benefits in the Governor Douye DIRI’S prosperity administration.
They therefore write the state Governor, Sent. Douye Diri, to intervene, saying that youths are not thugs and that they are tired of the humiliations from self centered politicians especially Isampou Community.
“We the concerned youths of Isampou community Ward one (1) are not happy with the Political leadership from Isampou Community, Ekelga Ward one (1).
‘In every electoral process the youths play a key role, most especially in Isampou Community, we the active youths of our party (PDP) play a major role, but when it is time for empowerment and appointments, we are always deprived.
Our leaders always brings their interests, they nominate their their children, wives, ex-wife brothers, drivers PAs girlfriends and other close friends or relatives for appointments and empowerments forgetting field workers. We are not pleased with this situations and the political slavery from our so called leaders in Isampou community (EKELGA).
“We are using this medium to call on the state Governor, His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, to come to our aid on the above subject matter for the sake of the forthcoming Goveenorshipl elections.
“THE YOUTHS ARE NOT THUGS
POLITICAL SLAVERY FOR YOUTHS IS BAD
THE YOUTHS ARE TIRED OF THESE SELF CENTERED POLITICIANS
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,” they said.
