The ancient town of Ogbia came alive with political excitement as George Turnah, Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, attended the party’s Local Government Congress held at the historic Ogbia Brotherhood Hall in Ogbia, Bayelsa State.
Party faithful, stakeholders, and delegates from across the local government area gathered in large numbers at the iconic venue, creating an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and renewed commitment to the ideals of the party.
Addressing party members during the congress, Turnah commended the leadership and members of the PDP in Ogbia for their unity, discipline, and dedication to strengthening the party at the grassroots. He emphasized that the Local Government Congress is a critical democratic process designed to deepen internal party democracy and ensure effective leadership at the local level.
