*NDBDA MD/CEO Engages Bayelsa CDC Chairmen on community Challenges*

*Yenagoa* – The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Basin Development Authority (NDBDA), Hon. Prince Ebitimi Amgbare, has held a crucial meeting with the Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairmen of Bayelsa communities at the Authority’s headquarters in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

 

During the interactive session, the CDC leaders expressed appreciation to Prince Amgbare for the open-door policy and accessibility he has created since assuming office. They commended his willingness to engage directly with community stakeholders and used the opportunity to highlight pressing challenges affecting their people, particularly in agriculture and water supply.

Responding, Hon. Amgbare acknowledged the concerns raised and assured the communities of NDBDA’s commitment to addressing them despite the Authority’s low budgetary allocation. He noted that the NDBDA has intensified efforts in building collaborations and partnerships with private investors to bridge resource gaps and implement sustainable development projects across the region.

The MD/CEO revealed that waterway sanitation initiatives are already in the pipeline, while several potable water projects have been earmarked for implementation. He specifically mentioned completed or ongoing projects in Igbogene, Kpansia, and Nedugo, with plans underway to establish another water project in Biseni. He emphasized that no community would be left behind in the Authority’s drive to improve living conditions and promote agricultural productivity.

In attendance were CDC Chairmen from Yenezue-Epie, Kpansia, Etegwe, Igbogene, Famgbe, Ogbia, Yenagoa, Agudama-Epie, Yenezue-gene, Onopa, Akaba, Kolokuma, Okutukutu, Ekeki, Ogbogoro, and several other communities.
