Life is getting hard for these 4 Ex-Female BBNaija Housemates – Erica is on this list
One of the most cherished things that occur in the life of the average Nigerian youth in a year apart from praying to God for his tender mercies is the Big Brother Naija show.
The organizers have to be praised for their marketing skills and how they have branded this programme to its respected.
Those who get the chance to make it into the mega house often come out been overnight millionaires or bag juicy sponsorship deals that they can live the rest of their lives off.
Despite the big opportunities that the BBNaija provides for its housemates, some of them struggle after exiting the competition.
Here are a few of these former female housemates in the Lockdown Season 5 edition who are struggling to cope up in life after exiting. Struggling for the sake of this discussion is not in terms of only making money. It includes how their perspectives in life have changed and the unavoidable trolls.
Despite having the looks of international model, Naomi Campbell she is a victim of social media trolls. It is easy to find unnecessary insults thrown at her anytime she updates her social media pages.
She once tweeted, “What gives people the confidence to DM other people insults and horrible messages? Is it joblessness? Cos it can’t be about a game show that was done over a month ago? I’m actually intrigued as to WHY this is normalized.”
Tolanibaj can’t be left out from this discussion because she is often shamed against her other female BBNaija stars. She complained about this on Twitter once.
“Please stop the comparison amongst the housemates on social media. We’re all striving & working at our own pace. Peace & love”
Erica would have won the BBNaija Lockdown Season 5 despite her shameful insult on Laycon that earned her one bad disqualification from the reality programme. That has not denied her from getting mega-corporate sponsorships. However, Erica seems to be suffering from bouts of depression and was frank with her fans on Twitter at a point in time.
She tweeted, “I’m not going to be your perfect celebrity all the time, I’m just a regular girl. I say what’s on my mind and it doesn’t have to be because of any drama. If you put too much pressure to be perfect on a human being, they will be stressed.”
Lucy has had her fair share of social media hacks since exiting the reality show but that has not stopped her from telling her fans her piece of mind.
She vented her unhappiness on her fans once. She wrote, “I get that being rude is a norm for some, and we encourage it by laughing at these mean jokes when you’re on the receiving end one of these days, maybe, just maybe you’ll understand how not funny it actually is.
