IYC PRESIDENT CONGRATULATES TOMPOLO ON BIRTHDAY
…Says His Efforts In Unifying And Empowering Ijaw Youths, Is Well Appreciated.

The President of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr, has on behalf of the entire Ijaw youths, extended his warm birthday wishes to one of Ijaw foremost icons, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, affectionately known as Tompolo, on the occassion of his 54th birthday anniversary today.

Jonathan Lokpobiri, who showered the celebrant, with some glowing ecomiums and birthday wishes, in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Tari Agai, said Tompolo’s laudable efforts in unifying and empowering Ijaw youths to ensure that they favourably compete with their counterperts in other ethnic groups around the world, is well appreciated.

Lokpobiri, who is also the Chairman, Niger Delta Ethnic Nationalities Youth Leaders Forum, said Chief Ekpemupolo, whose impactful works and leadership has attracted national commendation, clearly examplifies the transition from the armed phase of the Ijaw struggle to the intellectual one, as he silently axes a path through for the economic and political emancipation of Ijaw people, pointing out that the Gbaramatu born leader, remain a blessing and a role model to Ijaw youths.

The IYC President therefore extends gratitude to God Almighty for Tompolo’s life, highlighting his significant impact on peace and security in the Niger Delta region, while noting that his efforts have not only strengthened regional stability but also boosted national oil production.

Jonathan Lokpobiri, also used the oportunity to advise Ijaw youths to continue in stronger bonds of peace, unity and brotherhood, especially in this trying times, stressing that this phase too will soon be a thing of the past.

The IYC President prayed God to continiously increase the capacity of their leader, expand his coast and use him mightily to reachout to more Ijaws, while wishing him a happy birthday and many more years of fruitful endeavours.
