IJAW YOUTH COUNCIL (IYC) CENTRAL ZONE DISASSOCIATE IT SELF FROM THE PROPOSED 25 YEARS KAIAMA DECLARATION ANNIVERSARY .

Arising from an emergency executive council meeting of IYC central zone, the Comr Ineife Perekosufa led leadership dissociate it self and back out from the proposed 25 years anniversary of Ijaw Youth Council on the following grounds;

Neglect: The central leadership of IYC feels neglected by the National Leadership of Council and the Organizing Committee of the 25 years anniversary event. They believe that their input, ideas, and concerns have been ignored or undermined. This neglect reflects a lack of inclusivity and undermines the essence of collective decision-making within Council.

Lack of Communication: The central leadership of IYC has expressed dissatisfaction with the level of communication from the National Leadership of Council and the Organizing Committee regarding the anniversary event. They feel that important information has been withheld or not adequately shared with them, which hampers their ability to effectively participate and contribute to the event’s success.

Outright Disrespect to Zone: The central leadership of IYC has highlighted instances of what they perceive as disrespect towards their zone. They believe that the National Leadership of Council and the Organizing Committee has disregarded the importance and contributions of their zone to the Ijaw Youth Council, leading to a feeling of marginalization and exclusion.

Based on these grounds, the Comr Ineife Perekosufa led leadership has decided to dissociate itself from the proposed 25 years anniversary of Ijaw Youth Council. They no longer support the event and have chosen to back out. This decision serves as a protest against the aforementioned issues of neglect, lack of communication, and disrespect to the zone.
