Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Pastor Reuben Wilson, has called on all who care to listen that he has no hand in the arrest and incarceration of Edmund Ebiware popularly known as Don Capello.

Reuben made this known in a statement issued to newsmen on Monday.

He said the call became imperative following renewed attempts by Don Capello to drag his name in the mud over his arrest and imprisonment.

Ebiware had, in the recent publication, alleged that Pastor Reuben Wilson begged him to meet him in Bolingo Hotel in Abuja to offset his bills, and that while he went and handed him the sum of fifty thousand Naira to pay the hotel bill, he never returned to his family till date; as he was arrested and put in jail over alleged acts of terrorism.

However, reacting to these claims, Reuben described them as untrue and defamatory.

According to him, “I was in Boling Hotel in Abuja and he (Don Capello) called me, when he came, he said he bought a new car, and I said ‘okay buy drink o’ and he brought, I think, about fifty thousand for drink, and we had some discussion before he left, and unknown to us, the DSS were tracing him.”

“So, after he left, he was arrested and along the line, they also traced the room he was, and they also arrested me, but Senator Paulker Emmanuel intervened before they finally released me, although we spent money.”

“And since then, every October, he has been saying all those rubbish, posting defamatory things about me from prison from 2012 till date.”

The APC chieftain also called on well-meaning sons and daughters of the Ijaw nation to call Don Capello to order and stop dragging him into something he knew nothing about.

He said if not for Paulker’s intervention, nobody knows what would have befallen him too.

Wilson said that these annual defamatory statements cultivated by Don Cappello are debasing his reputation before right thinking members of the society, saying that there’s need for him to be called to order.

Furthermore, Wilson enjoined the public to disregard the said statement circulating on the social media; saying that it is mischievous and lacking in truth.
