HON. ISRAEL SUNNY GOLI AND NOEL INAFA: POLITICAL SCAVENGERS ON THE PROWL

When I read the personal attack by Hon. Israel Sunny Goli on the former Governor of Bayelsa State and current Senator representing Bayelsa West, I couldn’t help but laugh. His attack, borne out of malice and political frustration, is predictable.

The overwhelming backlash from Bayelsans against Hon. Goli clearly underscores his rejection as a political Lilliputian seeking relevance, while Senator Dickson remains widely respected and embraced across the entire geopolitical landscape of Bayelsa State.

What is more intriguing is Hon. Golirecruitedg his cousin, Mr. Noel Inafa—a man old enough to be a grandfather—reducing himself to a mere “data boy” to launch personal attacks on me over my telling Israel Sunny Goli the truth regarding his baseless attack on Senator Dickson. Shockingly, Noel Inafa stooped so low as to fabricate lies, claiming I sought financial favors from his cousin—a blatant attempt to score cheap political points and impress his political godfather.

While their antics do not surprise me—biting the fingers that fed them has become their stock-in-trade—I continue to stand on the high moral ground that few in politics still occupy.
Sunny Goli currently basks in the light of his connection to the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, where his “bread is being buttered.” Yet, like the chameleon whose colors change with the season, the true colors of both Hon. Goli and his cousin Noel Inafa will be revealed once Minister Lokpobiri’s tenure expires in May next year—just as they turned on former Governor Timipre Sylva, who once lifted them from obscurity.

That story is well documented, and I will share more details if they fail to respect themselves.
Hon. Israel Sunny Goli was a one-term member of the House of Representatives, rejected by his constituency for poor performance and intellectual hollowness. He could not sponsor a bill, nor move a motion to draw the Federal Government’s attention to the Nembe-Brass Road, yet he now attacks Senator Dickson—whose voice in both chambers of the National Assembly and stellar performance as governor are sources of pride for the Izon nation.
So, what exactly are Hon. Goli and his “data cousin” Noel Inafa looking for?

They are mere political scavengers surviving only on blackmail, gossip, and backstabbing. In the fullness of time, characters like them will be consigned to the wastebin of history—two goats 🐐 amidst real leaders.
