Group Congratulates Gov. Diri On Vanguard’s Good Governance Award
The Bayelsa West Youth Frontiers (BWYF) has congratulated the Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri on his Award of Good Governance on the 13th edition of Vanguard Personality of the Year Awards at Eko Hotel, Lagos.
In a congratulatory statement by the group Coordinator, Comrade Preye Bagou, described the governor’s award as a recognition of the sterling achievements of the prosperity government in the last few years.
Hot News gathered that the 13th edition of the personality of the year awards by Vanguard Newspaper had in attendance of prominent Nigerians, ranging from traditional rulers, governors, national assembly members, captains of industries etc.
The group while congratulating the awardee, Senator Douye Diri on his well-deserved award, said Bayelsa state has experienced tremendous improvements in major sectors, most especially in infrastructure, education, security, sports, healthcare, employment in the state.
“The good governance award is a recognition in commending the good works of the governor and the prosperity government in the state in the last few years,” the group added.
Bagou said road infrastructure has taken a new dimension in Bayelsa in the last few years under the visionary, focused, peaceful leadership of Senator Douye Diri.
He added the prestigious national award is a motivation to the governor to stir him up in attracting more infrastructural development to the state, as a government of assured prosperity for all Bayelsans.
Bagou pondering on the distractions from some desperate youths, urged the governor and the government not to be distracted by the mere social media noise-makers, but keep focusing in attracting more development to Bayelsans, basically.
