The governor was accompanied by his colleagues from other states. He took to his Instagram page to share this experience and he wrote;

Yesterday, I attended the annual Iri Ji Mbaise Cultural Festival held at the premises of Aboh Mbaise Secondary School.
Iri Ji festival marks the beginning of harvest season in our land where we have hardworking people. With a heart filled with thanksgiving to our God Almighty, on every 15th day of August, the people of Mbaise gather to celebrate and thank God for a bountiful farming harvest.
I thank my brother Governors of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, the Abia State Deputy Governor, representatives of Anambra and Delta States and all those who deemed it worthy to identify with the good people of Mbaise yesterday.

I also extend my warmest regards to notable Traditional Rulers who were not only excited about our rich cultural heritage but appreciated our hospitable environment.
To our friends and well wishers who made out time to attend, we appreciate you all.
Imo State under my watch shall revive our significant cultural festivals and explore it’s tourist potentials.

Imo Bu Nke Anyi Nile.
