The Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, Barr. George Turnah, has extended warm birthday felicitations to the Acting National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Abdulrahman Muhammed, describing him as a stabilising force and a symbol of principled leadership within the party.
In a goodwill message issued on Thursday, Turnah praised Muhammed’s stewardship of the PDP at a critical moment in its history, noting that his leadership has strengthened internal cohesion and reinforced constitutional order within the party.
“On this special occasion of your birthday, I celebrate your calm, disciplined and law-abiding leadership which has helped to steady our great party at a defining moment,” Turnah said.
He commended the Acting National Chairman for his commitment to due process, consultation and inclusiveness, stressing that such values have restored confidence among party members and stakeholders nationwide.
According to him, Muhammed’s approach to leadership—anchored on dialogue rather than coercion—has projected the PDP as a mature and responsible political organisation.
“Your insistence on legality, fairness and respect for party institutions continues to inspire confidence across all levels of the PDP. This is the kind of leadership that strengthens democracy and deepens party unity,” Turnah added.
The Bayelsa PDP Acting Chairman further wished the national party leader good health, renewed strength and wisdom as he continues to serve the party and the nation.
“As you mark another year, I wish you robust health, clarity of judgment and continued success in your efforts to reposition our party for greater achievements,” he said.
Turnah concluded by reaffirming the support of the Bayelsa State chapter of the PDP for the Acting National Chairman, expressing confidence in his capacity to guide the party forward with integrity and balance.
