The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, on Saturday addressed the Bayelsa State branch of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during its 12th expanded stakeholders’ meeting held in Yenagoa. The gathering brought together party leaders, elders, youths, and women groups to deliberate on strategies for strengthening the APC in Bayelsa State ahead of future political engagements.

Emphasis on Unity and Collective Progress

In his remarks, Dr. Ogbuku underscored the importance of unity within the party, noting that only a cohesive and forward-looking political family can effectively deliver development to the people. He urged members to put aside personal differences and work for the common good of the state and the nation. According to him, internal divisions weaken the party’s chances of success and hinder the delivery of dividends of democracy to the people.

Commitment to Grassroots Development

Highlighting the role of the NDDC under his leadership, Dr. Ogbuku explained that the Commission remains committed to grassroots-oriented projects that directly touch lives in Bayelsa and across the Niger Delta. He assured party stakeholders that the focus on infrastructure, healthcare, youth empowerment, and climate-resilient projects would continue, with Bayelsa standing to benefit significantly.
