DEMOCRACY DAY ANNIVERSARY 2022!🇳🇬 By Hon. Lucky Okodeh
Today, June the 12th, marks another Democracy Day anniversary to celebrate freedom and unity of our dear Nation and region.
Democracy is not just a question of having a vote, it consists of strengthening each citizen’s possibility and capacity to contribute and participate in the deliberations involved in changing the society because democratic theory is concerned with processes by which ordinary citizens exert a relatively high degree of control over leaders.
The people of our dear local government must feel remarkable impacts on selecting leaders that meant well to everyone.
As a local government with enormous natural resources, and as a people we must not relent to help our democracy and democratic leaders who even in the face of humiliation and insufficient funding will assist the masses for a better society.
I encourage everyone to preach love, and pray to God for a national and regional peaceful coexistence, let us also show commitment to supporting and building good governance in our dear local government and State at large.
