CP LAUNCH MANHUNT FOR SUSPECTS IN ATTEMPTED MURDER, CYBER BULLYING AND CYBER STALKING CASE.

Following Public interest on the indecent Assault, Attempted Murder, Grievous hurt, Cyber Bullying, Cyber Stalking and Adoption of Miss Nancy Wilfred, of Ighvie Town Ugheli, Delta State, but resident in Yenegoa Bayelsa State, and the viral video of the incident, the Bayelsa State Police Commissioner has inducted a Criminal investigation into the incident, to Bring the Culprits to Justice.

Today, 3rd September, 2025, an Exploratory interactive Session was held with the Victim, which later led to further sessions with Some CBOs and Gender Organizations. Full declarations and disclosures were made by the Victim, relating the extent of abuse and dehumanization inflected on her.

The Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command, CP. Alonyenu Francis Idu, is appealing to members of the Public, and good Citizens of Bayelsa to curtail further regurgitation of the Sensational and untoward images, as this can further impell the Victim to crack and melt down psychologically. That we should all invest efforts to aid the recovery of the victim from the Trauma caused by the incident.

Appropriate measures are on going to apprehend the Vicious Citizens who carried this callaus act on a hapless Young Girl.

A proper press briefing will be done to acquaint Members of the Public of the out come of this inquiry please.
