The Chief Executive Officer of Miss Nollywood Beauty and Pageant Organization, Barakumo Odede, has expressed profound appreciation to Reuben C. Wilson for his consistent and impactful support towards the growth of the Miss Nollywood Beauty Pageant over the years.
Odede described Chief Wilson as a strong pillar behind the success of many young women who have emerged winners of the prestigious pageant, noting that his generosity and commitment to youth empowerment have significantly shaped the future of several beauty queens.
According to the Miss Nollywood CEO, over 70 percent of the major winners of the Miss Nollywood Beauty Pageant have benefited from scholarships sponsored by Chief Wilson, enabling many of them to further their education at higher institutions.
He revealed that through the scholarship support, several former queens have successfully obtained Bachelor’s degrees (BSc) while others have proceeded to complete their Master’s degree programmes, thereby building successful careers beyond the pageantry stage.
Odede noted that the intervention of the respected leader has not only empowered young women academically but has also strengthened the vision of the Miss Nollywood platform as a vehicle for education, leadership, and social impact.
Chief Wilson is widely respected for his contributions to leadership development and public service. He is the Founder of the Pastor Reuben Initiative for Good Leadership and Accountability (PRIFGLA), a platform dedicated to promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance in society.
In addition, he currently serves as a member of the Governing Council of the University of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State, where he contributes to policy direction and institutional development at the university.
Beyond his public service roles, Chief Wilson is also a traditional ruler, further reflecting his influence and leadership within his community and the broader Niger Delta region.
Odede emphasized that Chief Wilson’s support has continued to inspire confidence in the Miss Nollywood project, describing him as a leader whose passion for education and youth development is evident in the lives he has impacted.
“Chief Pastor Reuben Wilson has stood solidly behind the Miss Nollywood vision. Through his scholarships, many of our queens have completed their BSc and some have gone on to earn Master’s degrees. His support has truly changed lives and we remain deeply grateful,” he said.
He expressed optimism that the continued partnership and encouragement from leaders like Chief Wilson will further strengthen the Miss Nollywood platform and enable it to produce more ambassadors who will contribute meaningfully to society.
The Miss Nollywood Beauty Pageant remains one of Nigeria’s platforms committed to empowering young women through education, leadership development, and cultural promotion.
