Chief. Pastor Reuben Celebrates Governor Diri on 6th Year in Office Anniversary

 

YENAGOA — Renowned cleric and community leader, Reuben C. Wilson, has congratulated the Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, as he marks his sixth year in office, describing his administration as a period of stability, growth, and purposeful leadership.

In a congratulatory message made available to journalists through his Director Media Barakumo Solomon Odede in Yenagoa, Chief. Pastor Reuben praised Governor Diri’s commitment to peace, infrastructural development, and human capital empowerment across Bayelsa State. He noted that the governor’s leadership style over the past six years has continued to inspire confidence among citizens and stakeholders.

According to the cleric, Governor Diri has demonstrated resilience and political maturity in steering the affairs of the state, particularly in the areas of education, youth development, and road infrastructure. He added that the administration’s focus on unity and inclusive governance has strengthened the social and political fabric of the state.

“Six years in office is not a small milestone. It reflects consistency, courage, and dedication to service. Your Excellency has shown capacity and a genuine love for the people of Bayelsa,” Pastor Reuben stated.

He further commended the governor for maintaining relative peace and fostering collaboration among political actors, traditional institutions, and community leaders, saying such efforts have created a conducive atmosphere for development.

Pastor Reuben who is a member governing Council University of Uyo Akwa Ibom state prayed for greater wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for Governor Diri as he continues to lead the state, expressing optimism that the remaining years of his administration would usher in even more impactful projects and policies.

Governor Diri assumed office in February 2020 and has since continued to champion what his administration describes as the “Prosperity Agenda,” aimed at driving sustainable development in Bayelsa State.

The anniversary celebration has attracted goodwill messages from political associates, civil society groups, and well-wishers across the state and beyond, as Bayelsans reflect on the journey of the past six years under his leadership.
