Chairman Ama-ebi Donates ITTF-Approved Table Tennis Board to Edo State Association
In a generous move aimed at fostering the development of table tennis in Edo State and the wider South South Region, Mr. Wilson Ama-Ebi Ebikpolade, the Chairman of the Bayelsa State Table Tennis Association, Owner of the Coastal Fortress Table Tennis Academy, and South South Representative on the Board of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation, donated a Stag Americas 16 ITTF-approved Table Tennis Board to the Edo State Table Tennis Association.
The donation, made on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024, marked a significant contribution to the enhancement of table tennis infrastructure in the region. The table was gratefully received by Dr. Pastor Charles Osazuwa, Chairman of the Edo State Table Tennis Association, who expressed profound appreciation for the gesture.
Mr. Wilson Ama-Ebi Ebikpolade, while presenting the table, emphasized the importance of such contributions in advancing the sport at grassroots levels. He underscored the need for continuous investment in facilities to nurture and groom young talents, thereby elevating the standard of table tennis in the region.
In addition to the donation, Mr. Ebikpolade also took the opportunity to address under 15 Boys and Girls Table Tennis Players who recently participated in the NDDC South South Region under 15 Boys and Girls selection. He outlined plans for a training tour overseas, aimed at providing exposure and experience to the budding players.
