Resignation from the APC. !!!

Firstly, let me wish you all a very Happy New month of July. It’s amazing that we are already on 1st day of the 7th month of the year 2022, indeed God is wonderful for preserving our lives.

In the spirit of the new month, let me specially announce the resignation of my official membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as member in Okoloba Ward 10, in Constituency 2 of Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA.
On this day, I also want to announce that I will be joining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the Executive Governor H.E Senator Douye Diri led Prosperity administration to move Bayelsa State forward. This move became imperative as the Governor, in the past 2 years has demonstrated the fundamentals of my core principles for joining politics. He has focused on good measures in the business of developing Bayelsa state with a disposition for unity, inclusiveness, fairness, intolerance to violence and respect for Bayelsans as a listening leader. The above attributes can be attested to by all from the effort put in to develop all senatorial districts most recently with the initiation, award and groundbreaking ceremony of the Nembe-Brass Road amongst other ongoing projects.

I believe there is a lot more to be done as the Bayelsa developmental project is a continuum and work is in progress. Project Bayelsa is an intense project very dear to my heart and one I cannot distance my contributions from. I have therefore opted to contribute my little quota towards this all important project through the state’s ruling party platform- the PDP, through which I can actualise my core principle of *service* .
To this end let me use this medium to thank the APC for giving me the opportunity to lead one of the most efficiently organised and coordinated campaigns for 2019 Bayelsa State Governorship election wherein we visited 56 communities and had over 100 quasi town hall/ special group discussions, which infact deepened my understanding and resolve to put a high weight on creating public value/common good more than ever.
I therefore, enjoin my friends/ associates who believe that politics is about adding/creating value to our communities and that it is about being inclusive, fair & just, building/strengthening institutions, strategic economic & human capital development, sharing experience with the common man and seeing all Bayelsans as one devoid of indefensible primordial clanish and ethnic tendencies to join me move to this party. The saying goes that charity begins at home, therefore it is Bayelsa first.
