- Bayelsa West Student Leaders Call on Dickson to contest for Senatorial Seat
Sequel to the declaration of the national house of assembly that pronounced the Bayelsa senatorial district vacant, due to the governorship election that was held in Bayelsa State that made Lawrence Ehrudjakpor to emerge as deputy governor, who was until now the senator representing the good people of Bayelsa West Senatorial District.
As a matter of necessity we the student leaders of the Bayelsa west call on H.E SERIAKE HENRY DICKSON the immediate past governor of Bayelsa State to contest as senator of the Bayelsa West Senatorial District, we urge him to incubate on the idea as we await INEC to schedule the election date, even if before now he had no intentions.
Pertinently, this is a clarion call to him on the premise of his past developmental strides that will predate this generation in Bayelsa west senatorial district and Bayelsa at large, notable among many are: the Bayelsa west road, the University of Africa Toru-Orua, Bayelsa state polytechnic Aleibiri, Bayelsa students loan, and numerous primary and secondary school buildings and facilities, this is just on the Education sector which is our primary constituency.
Therefore, without any modicum or iota of doubt, we are overwhelmingly convinced that H.E Seriake Henry Dickson will make a great senator, just to make it clearer, we (students) are ready to contribute to buy him the form if the need arises.
